In John 10:14-15 Jesus declares, “I am the good Shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know me. Even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father, and I lay down My life for the sheep.”
Psalm 23:1. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”
When Christ Jesus becomes my need, He becomes all I need.
Colossians 3:1-11 “but Christ is all, and in all.” Vs 11b
When the Lord Jesus leads me into His attitude of life, then my life becomes hid with Him in God. Vs. 3
This journey begins in my heart and mind when I open my heart and mind for the Holy Spirit to come in and live His life in me.
As I keep seeking the things above and setting my mind on the things above, the things above will become my ambition in life.
And the things of this world will become taste-less compared to the life of Christ; just as we can change our bodily taste buds, by changing our diet or habits, so as we begin to exchange our attitude and will for His, these things lose their power over us.
Then when Christ, who is my life, is revealed, then I also will be revealed with Him in glory. Vs 4.
Therefore, I must consider the members of my earthly body as dead, for I have died to my own life, my own ambitions and plans, and have been raised up with Christ to live His will, His purpose, and His life here on the earth. Vs 5
As this attitude develops in me, it helps me lay aside the old self with its evil practices, such as grumbling and arguing, and put on the new self…Vs. 10-11
I know the Lord is my Shepherd, when I begin to be content with His provision.
This will change my attitude from a grumbling, complaining, and arguing spirit to one of praise and thanksgiving, which will shine as a light in the world.
Philippines 2:12-15
The Lord declared Himself as the good Shepherd, who cares for His sheep.
Let’s come to Him, believing in His care and goodness in our life, and He will become our all in all.
